Fronius Primo Gen24

Single-phase Fronius Primo GEN24 inverter is the heart of private photovoltaic systems.
The Fronius GEN24 is equipped with PV Point, an integrated basic backup power function that supplies backup power to connected devices via a protected socket (as long as the sun is shining).

The Fronius Primo GEN24 boasts a wide range of features that support a sustainable, independent energy supply. Discover the key features for installers and their customers:

– Intelligent energy management
– Active cooling technology for a longer service life
– Flexible and fast installation
– Easy integration and management of Fronius or third-party components thanks to open interfaces

Fronius UP

Is a programme that allows the installer to upgrade a Fronius product via Solar.web – without any additional hardware. Fronius UP offers unique, new and innovative possibilities to expand Fronius products with new features according to the customers` needs at any time. This leads to maximum flexibility and future reliability.

Integrated data communication – Fronius Primo Gen24

We are the first inverter manufacturer to offer a data communication package with fully integrated datalogging, WLAN, Ethernet, energy management, web server and a range of interfaces. The inverter is connected to the internet by network cable or WLAN – without additional cabling – and grants you the perfect overview of how the PV system is operating. Connection to third-party components is provided by means of interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, Modbus RTU SunSpec or Fronius Solar API (JSON). The open interfaces can also be operated in parallel to the Fronius Solar.web.

Dynamic Peak Manager

The Dynamic Peak Manager is a new MPP tracking algorithm that dynamically adapts its behaviour when searching for the optimal operating point. Its special feature is that the Dynamic Peak Manager automatically checks the entire characteristic curve on a regular basis and finds the global Maximum Power Point (GMPP), even in partial shade.

Multi Flow Technology – Fronius Primo Gen24

Using Multi Flow Technology, different DC and AC energy flows are possible in parallel. On the one hand, this allows energy from the modules and from the battery to be made available for domestic use at the same time. However, it is also possible for the energy from the modules to be simultaneously fed into the battery and the in-house network. Furthermore, not only can the battery be charged from the DC side, but also from the AC side (for example from existing PV systems or other energy sources, such as a wind turbine). This means the inverter is also suitable for AC-coupled retrofitting. The inverter manages these energy flows in such a way that the highest possible degree of self-sufficiency is achieved.

SuperFlex Design – Fronius Primo Gen24

The Fronius SuperFlex Design is an ingenious combination of technical performance attributes that make designing your PV system not only extremely simple, but also incredibly flexible. The key performance factors of the SuperFlex Design are two MPP trackers, together with a high system voltage and wide DC input voltage range. Every DC input, and therefore every MPP tracker, is able to accommodate the entire nominal output of the inverter. Regardless of whether the inverter has to cope with different roof orientations, shading of one or two strings, or the use of residual modules: a Fronius inverter featuring integrated SuperFlex Design will satisfy every conceivable operational PV system planning scenario using just a single inverter model.

full backup

With the full backup option, the entire household, i.e. 1 phase as well as 3 phase devices, can be supplied with electricity in the event of a grid outage.

PV Point

The integrated basic grid back-up – a socket that is supplied with power during power outages – ensures that important loads can conitunue to operate should the power fail.

Active Cooling

Active cooling technology relies on one or more fans, which not only avoid hot spots, but also regulate the air circulation inside the inverter, thus keeping the temperature of the power electronics low. This has a positive effect on the service life of the devices, optimises yields and reduces costs. At Fronius, active cooling is supplied as standard in all devices.
